Lebo is determined to preserve the Sepedi dialect. She plans on writing more Sepedi books and short
stories, and wants locals to continue reading and writing in this language. Her love for reading and writing
in Sepedi was nurtured during her high school days at Woodhill College and St. Mary’s Diocesan School for
Girls in Pretoria.
Her peers and teachers echoed that she had excelled in Sepedi compositions and was one of the best
readers in her class. It comes as no surprise that the young lady from Pretoria authored the book ‘BIG
SECRET OF SEPEDI’.
Lebo worked alongside her mother, Makhudu Sinah Tlamama, a qualified Sepedi teacher. Any person who
has ever been taught by Sinah, remembers her as a remarkable teacher, always going above and beyond
for her students, offering them not just knowledge, but also warmth and genuine care. Lebo and her
mother have each brought their own skills and expertise to BIG SECRET OF SEPEDITM. Their successful
collaboration has resulted in the creation of this reference book, which fills the gap in the market for a
publication of this nature.
“Go thoma ka mošomo wa Kreiti ya R gomme o fetše ka mošomo wa Kreiti ya 12 ka mengwaga ye mehlano
ga se papadi”, said Lebo. She realised that content should not be confined by age or grade level, but should
progress coherently regardless. In the realm of language, the basic rules and vocabulary remain constant –
it is the application that varies and intensifies in complexity. It is for this reason that BIG SECRET OF
SEPEDITM is suitable for a range of students, whether they are beginners, possess a basic grasp, or already
boast an advanced understanding of the language.
Designed with precision, passion, and practicality, the book aims to make learning Sepedi an engaging and
rewarding experience. When not immersed in language endeavours, Lebo is a passionate traveller, keen
on exploring new places, understanding diverse cultures, and sampling the linguistic delights they have to
offer. A connoisseur of fine dining and wine, she enjoys the thrill of discovering new restaurants and
deepening her knowledge about vino.
An advocate for mental health awareness, Lebo believes in the power of conversation to break stigmas and
illuminate the importance of mental well-being. This drive complements her broader mission: to foster
understanding, be it through language, culture, or shared human experiences.
